Over 25 years ago, my Pilates journey began with the discovery of a DVD attached to a magazine at my local bookstore in Poland where I grew up –— Basi Pilates, led by the inspiring Rael Isacowitz. Since then my commitment to Pilates has remained unwavering and Pilates training further ignited my exploration of the mind and body connection, a journey that endures to this day. Every discipline I delve into incorporates the core Pilates principles of concentration, control, centering, flow, precision, and breathing — resulting in a focused, meditative, comprehensive, and revitalizing practice.
I appreciate the versatility these disciplines offer, providing adaptable workouts suitable for everyone — whether you're a complete beginner, undergoing rehabilitation for injuries or skeletal-muscular issues, or an athlete seeking a dynamic workout that fosters strength while preserving flexibility.
In 2011, I became a certified Mat Pilates teacher, and followed with Barre teacher training in 2013. In March of this year, I successfully completed my Pilates Reformer teacher training with the esteemed STOTT Pilates, renowned for integrating contemporary principles of exercise science and rehabilitation. This autumn, I will expand my expertise further by training in Cadillac, Barrel, and Chair Pilates.
In tandem with Pilates, I've dedicated years to practicing Yoga, integrating various breathing and meditation techniques such as Metta, Yoga Nidra, Vipassana as well as Transcendental Meditation.
My fascination with soma psyche has always driven me to explore neuroscience, psychology, and philosophy. Combined with knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and nutrition, my mission is to guide others toward achieving holistic well-being.

I’ve practiced yoga for over 20 years with many different instructors, and Monika is one of the best. In her teaching she has a really good way of flowing through poses, an in-depth knowledge of postures and how to modify as needed for different levels; coming round to help and advise on form, and adapting to suit the environment she’s teaching in. She’s got a great energy and makes you feel very at ease. I never wanted to miss a class. — Jemima P.

As anyone who has been to Pilates knows, the difference between doing it right with the benefits obtained and wrong, basically doing very little, are miles apart. Monika has great knowledge and technique so she will actively assist and explain and then you get that (core) ‘shake’ and feel the benefit.
Her verbal and non verbal communication skills are excellent and her teaching techniques make for an enjoyable class regardless of the level. Her friendly bubbly but assertive personality make the class a pleasure to attend and often incorporates a few laughs to help get through some of those tougher exercises. I have often sweated buckets and not moved from the mat which was unbelievable but very welcome after Les Mills Grit, pump, combat and HIIT classes. — Graham C.

I would thoroughly recommend Monika's classes as they are fun, beneficial and always take into account any disabilities/limitations that anyone may have. She makes anyone feel at home and comfortable in trying new stretches and poses. — Laura B.
